چکیده

The information on dynamical fluctuations that can be extracted from the anomalous scaling observed recently in hadron-hadron collision experiments is discussed in some detail. A parameter “effective fluctuation strength” is proposed to estimate the strength of dynamical fluctuations. The method for extracting its value from the experimentally observed quantities is given. Some examples for the application of this method to real experimental data are presented. PACS number: 13.85 Hd

It is shown that an event sample from the Monte Carlo simulation of a random cascading α model with fixed dynamical fluctuation strength is intermittent but not chaotic, while the variance of dy-namical fluctuation strength in different events will result in both the intermittency and the chaoticity behavior. This shows that fractality and chaoticity are two connected but different features of ...

Neurodynamic control of the heart of freely moving spiny lobster (Panulirus japonicus)

The heart of the crustaceans has its own pacemaker neurons inside the heart, which are composed of 9 neurons. The neurons receive innervations of only three kinds of axons originated from the central nervous system; one pair of inhibitory and two pairs of acceleratory axons. Thus, in terms of the neural cardiac control from higher center, this system may have much more simplistic operation comp...

A Numerical Study of KPZ Equation Based on Changing its Parameters

In this article we investigate the behaviour of the scaling exponentsof KPZ equation through changing three parameters of the equation. Inother words we would like to know how the growth exponent β and theroughness exponent α will change if the surface tension ν , the averagevelocity λ and the noise strength γchange. Using the discrete form of theequation , first we come to the results α = 0.5 ...

Wedge covariance for 2 D filling and wetting

A comprehensive theory of interfacial fluctuation effects occurring at 2D wedge (corner) filling transitions in pure (thermal disorder) and impure (random bond-disorder) systems is presented. Scaling theory and the explicit results of transfer matrix and replica trick studies of interfacial Hamiltonian models reveal that, for almost all examples of intermolecular forces, the critical behaviour ...
